CONTINUING THE CONVERSATION:

1. What’s your reaction to what Paul is telling the Corinthian church about the importance of Jesus’s bodily resurrection?

a. 13 For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised either. 14 And if Christ has not been raised,......

i. all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless. 15 And

ii. we apostles would all be lying about God...

iii. ...your faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins.

iv. 18 ...all who have died believing in Christ are lost!

b. 19 And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world.

2. Why do you think some people are still waiting, even after hearing the news that if you believe & belong to Jesus now you will be given new life after you die?

3. Does it help you to take heart when you seriously consider that the “Day of the Lord” is approaching -- the day God will make everything right, the day that “everything sad comes untrue”.
